Director of Collections Strategy (remote APAC)

Our client, a global fintech player is looking for a Director of Collections Strategy & Analytics to add to their team.

We are looking for someone with experience in collections, risk and analytics that will drive policies, optimize collections and implement data driven initiatives across the company

This is a fully remote role for professionals in the Asia Pacific time zone to facilitate collaboration coupled with regular business travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Familiar with different collection strategies with ability to test and iterate rapidly on different processes.

  • Design and implement new outreach techniques, incentives, and risk-based strategies.

  • Experience with predictive collections scoring and automation, able to leverage off segmentation, data analytics, machine learning, and vendors to improve recovery rates.

  • Maximise efficiency and performance by developing and scaling outreach models.

  • Ability to work across credit, data science, product and operation teams to refine collections strategy, enhance underwriting insights, and drive innovation.

  • KPIs, will include delinquency rates and recovery efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements in Asian markets

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 + years relevant experience in collections strategy, risk analytics, and credit risk management in financial services. Experience in b2c or b2c fintech lending space a plus.

  • Proven background in working with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in lending/collections in Asia.

  • Expertise in data-driven collections strategies, risk segmentation, and model-driven outreach optimization.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven collections scoring, automation, and optimization techniques is preferred.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and analytics platforms.
