Our client, a prominent high-profile technology company is seeking a strategic leader to helm the Digital Identity Product division, following the recent departure of its previous Director. The Director will oversee a talented team of approximately 100 members across engineering, product, operations, design, and support functions, with the goal of driving the evolution of a secure, accessible digital identity platform. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, decisive leadership, and adaptability to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment within a high-profile company.


Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a robust product roadmap to ensure the Digital Identity Product’s continued innovation in secure digital access for Singapore residents.

- Technical Competence: Actively engage in high-level technical and product discussions, offering hands-on guidance to teams where necessary.

- Operational Management: Oversee the integration and alignment of engineering, product, and operational functions, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficiency across teams.

- Organizational Change: Lead ongoing organizational changes to strengthen team cohesion, fostering a culture that values technical excellence, clear decision-making, and progressive innovation.

- Talent Management: Drive effective team management, balancing experienced long-term members with newer, junior team members. Provide hands-on leadership as needed, supporting retention and talent development.

- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, reporting to either the CEO or Deputy CEO, and representing the Digital Identity Product’s vision and progress to external stakeholders.

- Successful delivery of a confidential, multi-year product roadmap, ensuring the Digital Identity Product’s relevance and security across public and select private sectors.

- Effective team management, promoting retention and nurturing technical talent across senior and junior levels.

- Strong organizational impact through implementing decisive yet patient leadership that supports the company's goals.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:  

- Demonstrated high-stakes technology leadership with a strong product vision.

- Decisive, authoritative leadership style with proven success in managing diverse teams.

- Technical expertise with a track record of engaging in and driving product and engineering excellence.

- Familiarity with or adaptability to high-profile organizational settings.

- Background in a blue-chip technology company or recognized startup is preferred.

Good-to-Have Skills:  

- Founder experience or a similar entrepreneurial mindset, with a comfort level in navigating confidential, security-sensitive product matters.

Reporting Structure and Team Composition

- Reports to: CEO or Deputy CEO

- Team Size: 100+ members spanning Engineering, Product, Operations (including anti-fraud and shared services), and Support functions.
