The role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Director to lead the strategic development and management of a critical case management system. This system serves as a foundational platform for a major organization's service delivery, operational planning, and monitoring efforts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's vision of enhanced service delivery, streamlined operations, and data-driven decision-making.

The Product Director will be responsible for defining the product vision, developing and executing the product roadmap, and prioritizing features based on business value and strategic alignment. This role involves leading a product team, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful product outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

A) Product Management and Development:

  • Vision and Roadmap: Define and communicate the product vision and develop a comprehensive roadmap aligned with organizational and sector-wide goals. Engage with senior leadership to shape product strategy.

  • Strategic Decision-Making: Serve as the primary decision-maker for product strategy, features, and releases. Make informed decisions based on research, stakeholder feedback, and business needs.

  • Backlog Prioritization: Prioritize product backlogs based on business value, stakeholder input, and strategic importance, ensuring timely delivery of critical features.

  • Project Planning and Execution: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, gather feedback, and address concerns.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, policy, and operations teams to deliver high-value features.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate product performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for product management and drive continuous improvement.

B) Legacy Product Management:

  • Transition Planning: Plan for the seamless transition of legacy systems in alignment with the new product development.

  • Enhancement Management: Identify and prioritize enhancements to the legacy product, considering decommissioning plans.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management or product ownership, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of successful product management and implementation of large-scale systems.

  • Professional certification in product management is a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Expertise in product management, lifecycle development, and roadmaps.

    • Technical knowledge for discerning requirements and setting metrics.
