Finance Manager - Food Tech start-up (SG)
Our client is a Singapore based food tech start-up with a mission to empower individuals to indulge in healthier eating without compromising on taste and flavours. Backed by years of research and testing, they have formulated food ingredients to help their F&B customers make food healthier.
They are in search of an adaptable and fast learner who can embrace fast changing situations in a start-up to be their Finance Manager. This role will report to the Co-founder / CEO while working closely with the multi-functional leadership team and other internal stakeholders. You will play a critical role in scaling their business in the region.
Responsibilities
· Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analysing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
· Work closely with third party accountant to maintain accurate financial record, maintain an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
· Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance department – governance and checks. Investigate means to improve profitability, execute changes to procedure, policies and systems to facilitate expansion (via growth matrix and KPI setting and tracking), compliance and scaling of the business.
· Lead planning and forecasting activities with multi-functional leadership team to achieve business and company goals
· Prepare annual budgets and track costs against budgets
· Prepare investor & board update cadence
Requirements
· A degree in Finance or Accounting with minimum 5yrs of relevant experience ( 3yrs experience in an audit firm and 2 yrs commercial experience)
· Strong hands-on experience in corporate finance and financial reporting
· Proven track record in driving cost or financial reporting process improvement
· Strong organisational, numeracy and analytical skills
· A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
· Entrepreneurial, collaborative and possess an openness to be experimental
· Proficiency in the Chinese language will be a plus
