Sales and BD Lead (SG) - Culinary Protein [24M01]

Drawing upon their expertise in food technology, sustainability, and culinary arts, their innovative plant-based protein product is ideal for food services companies seeking to expand their plant-based offerings.

To help them accelerate their growth plans, they are seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial individual with a strong background in food service / manufacturing sales and business development for the role of Sales and BD Lead for Singapore and export markets. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow Sales: Triple the number of sites using their products and double the number of meals served in existing sites within a year. Expand their customer base by onboarding deepening relationships with existing catering partners globally.

  • Manage Key Accounts: Leverage existing b2b partnerships and convert new sites to choose our client’s product as their preferred plant-based protein.

  • Lead & Develop: Manage the sales budget, develop and execute global sales plans.

  • Market Expertise: Stay updated on competitor activities in global markets, develop effective global sales strategies, and utilize business intelligence tools to gain valuable market insights.

  • Distribution Management: Establish new channels especially for their ready-to-eat product lines and ensure fair commercial terms and pricing.

  • Support Chefs: Collaborate with commercial chefs, utilizing our client’s extensive recipe database to support their own customer’s needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Food Industry Expertise:

    • 3-5 years minimum experience in the food service/solutions industry, ideally with international experience.

    • Proven track record selling ingredients and semi-finished products to foodservice and OEMs globally.

    • Extensive network of contacts within the global food industry.

  • Passion & Drive: Deep passion for the food industry, especially plant-based nutrition and sustainability. Resourceful, hands-on attitude with a strong results orientation.

  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Team player with a results-driven approach and strong strategic thinking. Ability to work independently, manage conflict, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Distribution Management: Minimum 5 years experience managing F&B or FMCG distributors across multiple regions globally.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively internationally is required.
