General Manager, Global HR Strategy (ID) - Mining conglomerate
Our client is a mining conglomerate and they are looking for a General Manager , Global HR Strategy.
This position is responsible for developing and executing the global HR strategy, driving HR initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business goals. You will focus on setting talent up for success, cultivating the employee experience, and driving overall organizational performance through its people. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will work in partnership with other leaders at the organization to develop strategies and tools to attract and recruit individuals to play critical roles across the company, grow and retain existing talent to increase organizational success, and ensure all employees have the resources they need to be successful.
This role is based in Jakarta but frequent travel can be expected.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the leadership team, contribute to the company vision and strategy.
Develop and implement talent strategies that touch all aspects of the employee lifecycle to drive performance, development, engagement, and retention.
Coach employees at all levels, building trust and rapport to provide support in areas such as executive leadership development and employee relations.
Serve as executive champion for a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce.
Drive a culture that embraces feedback in all directions, including owning and enabling the formal performance management processes.
Design, propose, and implement operating models and organizational designs that will enable efficiency and success.
Guide internal communications on strategic and tactical objectives related to employee experience.
Develop and implement a total rewards strategy that aligns cash compensation, benefits, perks, equity, and other items with company strategy, commercial and revenue goals, and employee priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience building best practice HR/People programs and initiatives in large corporations involving multiple subsidiaries in Indonesia, Australia, USA and etc. A combination of Corporate and Consulting experience would be ideal.
Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
Strong business, analytics and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Prior experience cultivating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment and building practices and processes that sustain and enable that culture.
Ability to partner with all levels of the organization and work through others to drive impact and achieve results.
Demonstrated success in leading, inspiring, coaching, and building world-class teams.
10+ years of progressive relevant experience, including prior management experience.
An MBA is a plus.
