APPLICANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Applicant Terms and Conditions below constitute a legal agreement between the party applying for a job as the “Applicant” (more particularly defined below) and Connect One Consulting Pte. Ltd. (“Connect One”), who is the legal owner of the domain name and website www.connectone.com.sg (“Website”).

1. Connect One Consulting Pte Ltd (Connect One) may, in its sole discretion, provide services which Connect One determines as being beneficial to your search for a job (the "Service"), including support by a career adviser or matching up your data with the job offer requirements of the companies seeking workers (the "Companies").

2. Connect One may, whenever it deems necessary, change (which includes a change of career adviser), or temporarily suspend the Service, for any reason, without giving you prior notice. Connect One may, whenever it deems necessary, terminate a part of or the entire Service, for any reason, upon notice given to you.

3. Upon request by Connect One, you shall submit to Connect One the following documents:

  • Personal identification documents that specify and confirm your name, address, and other contact details as the case may be;

  • Passport or certificate of qualification for employment to confirm your residence status; and

  • Any other certificate or documents that may be required by the Companies from time to time.

4. Connect One may match your data with the job offer requirements of a Company in its sole discretion. In any event, Connect One is under no obligation whatsoever to disclose to you the selection criteria, the reasons for a decision or any other information about the selection process by Connect One. When Connect One accepts your request regarding an application for a job offer, based on Connect One's judgment after considering the selection criteria of a Company, Connect One may decide, at its sole discretion, not to recommend you for such job offer and/or may inform you that you do not match the job offer requirements of the Companies.

5. Upon direct confirmation between you and a Company of the working conditions and any other terms of employment, you shall enter into an employment contract directly with Connect One entirely on your own and Connect One takes no responsibility for such contract or any terms therein contained. You further acknowledge that the working conditions and any other terms of employment notified by Connect One to you are not a warranty of the final terms and conditions of the said employment contract.

6. You shall not undertake any of the following:

  • The submission of any false or inaccurate information;

  • Any act that impedes or is likely to impede the business, harms or is likely to harm the societal reputation or damages or is likely to damage the credibility of Connect One and/or the Companies;

  • Any act of abusing, slandering, or affronting Connect One and/or the Companies;

  • Any act that infringes Connect One's or a third party's property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights, or trade secrets, reputation and / or privacy;

  • Using any information obtained through the Service for a purpose other than a job search, or disclosing or divulging such information to a third party without Connect One's consent;

  • Where Connect One has put you and the Companies in touch with each other, any act of communicating with the Companies directly, or being selected and/or employed by the Companies without Connect One's consent;

  • Any act of being absent from an appointment with Connect One or the Companies or employment test without prior notice or valid reason, or declining employment without valid reason after the acceptance of a job offer from the Companies.

  • Any other act inconsistent or likely to be inconsistent with any law, regulation, or public policy.

7. If during the selection process Connect One determines that there is or is likely to be a discrepancy between the working conditions or any other terms of the employment contract notified by the Companies and those informed by you, Connect One may confirm such terms with the Companies.

8. All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, of all contents, including but not limited to photos, reports and the logo available on this website ("Content") belong to Connect One or a third party. You shall not reproduce, alter, reprint or in any other way use all or part of such Content without the prior consent of Connect One.

9. You agree that the use of the Service or this website does not guarantee your employment by any of the Companies. In addition, if any dispute arises between any of the Companies and yourself concerning working conditions or other terms of any employment contract, you shall handle such dispute at your own cost and responsibility. Connect One shall not be liable in any way, whether directly or indirectly, for any damage, loss, cost or expense resulting from, or in connection with, the use of this website or any part of the Service contained in this website.

10. This website might be linked with websites other than Connect One's website and which are not maintained by Connect One. Connect One is not responsible for the contents of those websites and shall not be liable for any damages or loss arising from access to those websites. Use of the hyperlinks and access to such linked websites are entirely at your own risk. Moreover, such links do not mean Connect One approves or guarantees those websites and their content.

11. Connect One assumes no liability whatsoever with respect to the deletion or failure of performance of the Service as a result of force majeure, overcrowded circuits, system crash or virus infection that cannot be prevented by normal virus protection or any other occurrences which are not attributable to Connect One.

12. You shall not create any hyperlink from websites with contents that may be defamatory to our business or reputation or with obscene contents, or any website that Connect One, in its own discretion, sees as otherwise irrelevant. Connect One has the right to refuse hyperlinks from any of those websites.

13. The Applicant will indemnify Connect One and its officers, directors and employees, affiliates or any of them on demand against any and all loss, damage, claims, demands, actions, costs (including legal/attorney fees), charges, expenses and liabilities of whatsoever nature incurred by or awarded to Connect One and/or its officers, directors and employees, affiliates, arising directly or indirectly out of any personal data or information that is passed to Connect One.

14. The Applicant consents to the collecting, storing, processing and use of personal data obtained by Connect One from the Applicant for the purposes of providing the Services or as required or permitted by law.

15. Connect One shall at all times use all reasonable endeavours to keep confidential any Confidential Information of the other party, and shall not use or disclose any such Confidential Information except as permitted by the other party or as required by law.

16. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute concerning these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.

17. Connect One may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, in accordance with our internal policies, technological developments, industry practices, applicable laws and regulations. If we make any changes to our Terms and Conditions, we will post the revised version here, so do review it frequently. If significant changes are made, we may also notify you by other means, such as, but not limited to an email or a notification on our website. 

REFERRAL PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Connect One Referral Program Terms and Conditions (Terms and Conditions) below constitute a legal, valid and binding agreement between the Connect One Referral Program participant as the “Referrer” (more particularly defined below) and Connect One Consulting Pte. Ltd. (“Connect One”), who is the legal owner of the domain name and web site www.connectone.com.sg (“Website”).

The Program allows the Referrer to promote Connect One Referral Program and receive a referral reward on these Terms and Conditions.

The Program would come into force upon the Referrer's participation in the Program ie when the Referrer submits the application and it will create a legally binding contract between us. If you do not wish to proceed on this basis, you should immediately inform us. 

1. Definitions and interpretation

1.1 In these Connect One Referral Program Terms and Conditions, the following words shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them:

“Program” means Connect One Referral Program.

“Candidate” means an individual who is currently registered in the database of Connect One.

“Position” means a job position which is shown on the Website.

“Referrer” means an individual who voluntarily participates in the Program by referring eligible friends to become a Referee.

“Referee” means a person who has not applied for the Position in any way and who has given his/her approval and whom the Referrer has referred through the Program.

2. Period of validity

2.1 This Program may be terminated by Connect One at any time or amend these Terms & Conditions by providing reasonable notice on the website.

3. Eligibility criteria

3.1.1 The Program is open and available to Referrers who meet the following criteria:

3.1.2 The Referrer must fill up the application form by selecting the “Referring Someone” button on the Website.

3.1.3 The Referee must be a new applicant who has not applied for the Position in any way.

3.1.4 The Referrer will not be eligible to receive the referral reward under this Program in the event that the Referee has already applied for the Position in any way or already exist in Connect One’s database at the date of the referral.

3.1.5 The Referee must be notified and have consented to their details, personal data and information being passed to Connect One for this Program before the date of the referral by the Referrer.

3.1.6 Referee can only be referred to the same position once. In the event that a Referee is referred to the same position more than once, only the first person to refer the Referee to the Position (with the Referee’s permission) will be eligible for a referral reward under this Program.

3.1.7 Permanent employees and contract and temporary workers working directly for Connect One, its subsidiaries and its partner companies or individuals who have concluded other contract with Connect One are not eligible to participate in the Program.

3.1.8 The Referrer will only be eligible to receive the referral reward if the Referee enters into a contract with Connect One’s client in a permanent employment. 

4. Referrer responsibilities

4.1 The Referrer confirms that he or she  has all authority and approvals required for the performance of such referral and will not be in breach of any applicable law or contract to which the Referrer is a party,

4.2 The Referral Program terms and conditions will constitute legal, valid and binding obligations.

4.3 The Referrer has obtained the consent of the Referee to share the personal data of the Referee to Connect One and Connect One’s clients. 

4.4  It is the Referrer’s responsibility to provide a valid paypal account in the Referrer’s own name to receive the cash reward.

4.5 The Referrer will indemnify Connect One and its officers, directors and employees, affiliates or any of them on demand against any and all loss, damage, claims, demands, actions, costs (including legal/attorney fees), charges, expenses and liabilities of whatsoever nature incurred by or awarded to Connect One and/or its officers, directors and employees, affiliates, arising directly or indirectly out of Referrer’s breach of the Referral Program Terms and Condition including the failure to obtain consent from the Referee before any personal data or information about the Referee is passed to Connect One for this Program.

4.6 The Referrer agrees that Connect One will not be held liable for any loss or claim arising out of the use of Paypal in this Program and waive all claims against Connect One, The Referrer acknowledges that he or she would exercise such vouchers or experiences wholly at his or her own volition and risk.

4.7 The Referrer agrees that he or she will not make any representations, promises, warranties or other statements about Connect One or Connect One’s website, products, services or policies other than as may be expressly approved in writing by Connect One or as otherwise provided to the Referrer by Connect One for that purpose.

4.8 The Referrer is responsible for providing the full and accurate information requested by Connect One in connection with the Program. Such information includes, but is not limited to, contact details about the Referee.

5. Terms for earning the referral reward under the Program

5.1 Subject to meeting the requirements of Clauses 2, 3 and 4:

5.1.1 The Referrer is eligible to receive a cash reward if their Referee is placed for the Position in a permanent position by Connect One 

5.1.2 The Referrer will only receive the reward once the Referee who has been placed in a permanent position has completed the said probation period as stipulated in their employment contract with Connect One’s clients

5.2 The referral reward detailed in this Program is a net payment. Connect One is not responsible for any taxes, as required by law and fees from payment providers that we use arising from the provision of the referral reward(s).

5.3 In the event that Connect One is unable to reach the Referrer and/or the Referee at the registered email or mobile phone number in the database of Connect One, within 30 days from the date the Referrer is deemed by Connect One in its sole discretion to be eligible to receive a cash reward, the eligibility to receive the referral reward will lapse.

5.4 Connect One reserves the right not to award any referral reward in the event that there is any breach of the Referral Program Terms and Conditions.

6. Personal Data

6.1 Connect One shall at all times use all reasonable endeavours to keep confidential any Confidential Information of the other party, and shall not use or disclose any such Confidential Information except as permitted by the other party or as required by law.

7. Termination

7.1 The Referral Program Terms and Conditions will be terminated if the referee is not hired by Connect One’s clients within 3 months from the date of submission of the referee.

8. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
